Special Needs Children Show Off Their Superhero Side

I want you all to meet Renee Bergeron, a mom who did something extra-special with her special needs son.  What turned into “The Superhero Project” didn’t start out that way.  She was simply taking photos of her son with a superhero theme.

Her son loved it so much that Renee extended the experience to other special needs children and the project took off.

Her son, Apollo, was born with a rare congenital heart defect, a double aortic arch.  He was diagnosed at only 18 months old and has gone through two surgeries, among other procedures.

See more of “The Superhero Project” and see more of Renee’s work at Little Earthling Photography.

I’m Catrina. I’m a mom of 2 under 2 and founder of Chocolate & Chaos. On top of being a mom and blogger, I'm a Digital Content Manager for a publisher. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with her family and friends, photography, wine and good coffee. So basically, I'm just trying to make it through the day just like you. :) It's a bumpy ride sometimes, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
