I know, I hated to write it. But as we all know, summer has to end some time. But while we’ve still got some time of sun and warmth I sought out a few of the cocktails that are now on my list to try before summer ends. Want more awesome cocktails? Click here.
Cucumber SangriaOur first comes from Better Homes & Gardens. The Cucumber Sangria has to be the most refreshing drink I’ve seen. If you like cucumber, this one is definitely for you. Never tried cucumber in a cocktail before? You might be surprised. I was hesitant at first, but found it to be one of my favorite summer drink flavors.
Orange Lemon Shake-UpsIf citrus is more your thing, these Orange Lemon Shake-Ups from Love Grows Wild are for you. Now, in all honesty this isn’t a “cocktail” but with a little rum or vodka it will make an absolutely delicious one.
All About That Pom
These take me back. I’ve made a variation of this without mint, but this take on sort of a Pomegranate Mojito from Waiting On Martha will do just fine for me. My version? Vodka, white soda and pomegranate juice.
Raspberry Limoncello Prosecco
I may or may not be sipping on this one as I type. 5 minutes, 4 ingredients (really!) and done. From Damn Delicious, this cocktail screams summer. Prosecco, limoncello liqueur, raspberries and mint go together to make this amazing drink. Tip: Sticking to a good glass of white wine and can’t wait for it to chill? Use some frozen raspberries to cool it off. It won’t water it down and they taste great.
The BEST Sangria
Gimmie Some Oven shared this fab cocktail that I had to share with you. I think, however, they are on to something. The secret ingredient? Arugula.
Never in my life would I have imagined adding arugula to a cocktail. Well played GSO.
Frozen Watermelon Daiquiri
To be honest, I just can’t say no to a good daiquiri. That’s why this Watermelon Daiquiri from Sweet & Savory caught my attention. It’s also easy to make, so you can do it on the fly. Watermelon (chunks, frozen), rum, sugar and lime are all you need to make this tasty summer treat.
Frozen Hot Chocolate
Finally, Lemons For Lulu has done me in. I don’t even care if this is turned into a cocktail or not. All I know is I must have it. I always thought that frozen hot chocolate was difficult to make, but this recipe is a snap.
